As an intern in the Office of the Executive Secretary, I was exposed to information from all of the offices across the Department, gained greater understanding of current economic issues, experienced the processes that keep the complex workings of the Department moving, and improved my communication and teamwork skills within a fast-moving environment.

Utilizing player statistics, the optimal choice of a team given a constraint of money to spend on salaries can be found. Typically, each manager uses their previous experience and intuition to choose a batting order, based on some common criteria. Utilizing those criteria and statistical analysis of the players involved, a model for the optimal batting order will be proposed.
